Aiming to streamline and boost the effectiveness of its security access operations, The Celtic Collection opted to perform a full upgrade of its VingCard Classic locks to VingCard Classic RFID at both The Celtic Manor Resort and Coldra Court Hotel. Designed to be scalable and future-proof, VingCard Classic locks are able to be upgraded with RFID capabilities without requiring an extensive and costly overhaul of existing lock hardware. With the presence of RFID-enabled readers, The Celtic Collection now benefits from enhanced security encryption technology that protects against keycard cloning and unauthorized room access. Switching to RFID-based keycards also eliminates the risk of guest keycards becoming demagnetized that can result in a drop in satisfaction rates. Both VingCard Classic RFID and VingCard Signature RFID installations have further leveraged each lock solution’s compatibility with Mobile Access in order to provide guests with a modern and instantly convenient alternative to checking-in and gaining guestroom access.
